This unique election offers a highly publicized race between incumbent Mayor Tom Miller and challenger John Schroer. WCAR has chosen to remain neutral in this contest. Alderman at Large Election
After reviewing responses and meeting with individual candidates, WCAR voted to contribute RPAC funds to the following candidates seeking election as Franklin Alderman-At-Large. All supported candidates committed to a platform embracing quality, sustainable development, at the same time promoting historical preservation and preserving open space. In addition, each placed an emphasis on infrastructure, and the need for proper planning to meet future needs. The 2007 election marks a turning point in our City’s future, and we encourage members to take an active role in the process. These informational items are posted to give WCAR members as much information as possible about the upcoming election. WCAR claims almost 700 members listing Franklin as their home address. Imagine the impact of 700 REALTORS® on an election with only 3,500 expected voters.
