The Williamson County Association of REALTORS® (WCAR) announced that Debbie Parker of Homes By Parker, LLC is WCAR’s REALTOR® of the Year 2008.
Parker, of Brentwood, Tn., served as a member of the WCAR Board of Directors from 2005 to 2007. Parker was also instrumental in contributing to WCAR’s members through her leadership on several committees including Membership Services, Education, Budget and Finance, Bylaws, and Strategic Planning. Parker also served as a Director for the Tennessee Association of REALTORS® and participates in National Association of REALTOR® events. Parker also serves as a Trustee for the REALTOR® Good Works Foundation of Williamson County. Parker also completed training to become an official mediator for WCAR, assisting real estate professionals and the public with dispute resolution relating to real estate transactions.
Parker is a strong contributor to the education and mentoring of real estate professionals. She has been licensed for 25 years and currently serves as the managing broker for her own firm, Homes By Parker, LLC. Parker’s colleagues credit her for always being there for them and providing the right answers to help them grow their businesses.
Parker was presented the REALTOR® of the Year award by Marcia Franks, a past president of WCAR and 2007’s REALTOR® of the Year. Franks and Parker worked together during their tenures on WCAR’s Board of Directors.
The REALTOR® of the Year Award is the highest honor presented to a member and is based upon leadership and contributions made to the Williamson County Association of REALTORS®, the Tennessee Association of REALTORS®, National Association of REALTORS®, and the Williamson County community.

Established in 1962, the association provides professional development and support services for REALTORS® and represents the concerns and interests of private property and home ownership rights.
